Webseries | Writer, Director
Shaking off the last dregs of high school, 21-year-old Central Coast electrician Jye is struggling to find purpose in his career. Having picked up the violin on a whim before leaving school for his apprenticeship, Jye has slowly begun to spend most of his free time practicing in semi-secret. Jye has no real plans to pursue this any further until a conversation with his boss and mentor, Rob, puts him in contact with “a mate’s son” who teaches the violin. Jye’s growing friendship with his violin teacher, Aiden, a Non-Binary music student, gives Jye a sense of direction that he hasn’t felt since leaving school, and pushes him into paths he didn’t expect to associate with himself. But as he begins to neglect the friendships that have formed the base of who he is for the majority of his life, and reaches further and further out of his comfort zone, he faces fresh challenges to his sense of identity that threaten to propel him back into the lull he thought he had left behind.
